Troy Glasner has become an advocate for building with energy efficiency, sustainability and health in mind. His 12 years of experience in the industry, on both the product and the consulting side, enables him to source manufacturers and service providers for our clients that offer the highest standards in quality, delivery and service. His focus has been on single-family and multi-unit residential energy evaluations and energy consulting. He has extensive experience in building science practices and the development of high performance building envelopes geared towards zero energy consumption. Troy provides Building Science for New Homes training, Certified Energy Advisor training and serves on both the LEED for Homes and the Built Green Canada Technical Advisory Subcommittees.
Einar Halbig has over 16 years of education and experience in residential construction. He specializes in practical solutions that make a house more efficient, safe and comfortable. Trained as a civil engineer, he has evaluated over 2000 existing homes across the Lower Mainland as well as hundreds of new homes. Einar embarked on a deep-green energy retrofit of his own house and now enjoys the many benefits of the end result. He brings an engineering background, technical sales expertise, and hands-on experience to the field of energy-efficiency and sustainable consulting. Einar provides Building Science for New Homes training and Certified Energy Advisor training, and he serves as the Chair of the CHBA BC Technical Advisory Committee.
Vice President, Operations
Jodi has been instrumental in implementing E3’s work flow system, database management, accounting and infrastructure. As well as being the key operations person, she acts as the main liaison to the Canadian Home Builders Association of Canada and manages the Canada Green Homes Database for E3 Eco Group. Jodi also manages and guides home builders, architects and home owners through the EnerGuide for Homes program and assists these same parties with pursuing their rebates for their achievements.
Emma graduated from the University of Victoria with a BA specializing in Urban Development and Environmental Studies. Drawing from this experience she now works as a Certified Energy Advisor for E3 delivering Energuide, Energy Star for New Homes, and BuiltGreen programs. She strives to make the homes we live in more energy efficient and environmentally friendly by selecting more sustainable building materials and practices.
B.A., Dipl.RNS, CEA
Jeremy completed his BA in Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria, and has spent time facilitating the creation of sustainable solutions to small-scale issues. He has previously worked in the non-profit sector as a program coordinator, and currently assists with E3’s testing and verification of BuiltGreen, EnergyStar, and EnerGuide projects.
Madeline graduated from the University of Calgary with a BA in Urban Studies with a focus on sustainable development,
and she is currently working towards her Sustainable Energy Management Advanced Certificate with BCIT. She previously worked in the solid waste industry in both the private and public sector, and currently manages LEED projects at E3 with a focus on Midrise developments

Sara Completed her BA in Built Environment Specializing in Passive House and Sustainable Design. She Has previously worked as a Passive House Consultant and Contributed to many Passive House Projects. She is now assisting with E3s Ener Guide Rating Systems, Passive House Design, Thermal Modelling and LEED.
Jacquelyne graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BA in Geography, specializing in environment and sustainability, and has recently completed an Advanced Certificate in Sustainable Business Leadership from BCIT. She has previous experience coordinating large projects and is currently assisting the LEED team coordinating project documentation for LEED Homes and Midrise developments.
Peter recently moved to Vancouver, from Halifax, Nova Scotia where he graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Community Design (BCD) with a focus on sustainable development. He previously worked in the construction industry on various high density developments, and now assists with E3’s Energuide and Built green projects as a project coordinator.
Philip completed his mechanical engineering degree at Queen’s University, and as a member of Queen’s Solar Design Team he helped design and construct a net zero home as part of Team Ontario’s winning Solar Decathlon entry. Originally from the prairies, he moved to Vancouver to follow his passion for sustainability and the outdoors. When he’s not organizing & conducting tests across a variety of E3’s projects you’ll find him exploring the mountains above Vancouver.

Kristi Owens is a Certified Energy Advisor with an Architectural Technologies and Building Science background. Integrated design concentrating on energy efficiency, sustainable building materials and use of space has been her focus for the past 10 years.
